So dabbled in some work experience with Skewbalds Theater, where i helped make some small animation with stop frame animation and bits and pieces. So recently i have been made redundant...but all positive as i have taken things up a notch and started to put myself out there.
Currently working on website art work for a fellow creator of all things bizarre. Ill link it up once all is complete, doing some work experience at a small independent theater company making a shadow puppet animation, its all a bit go. but all exciting. In the meantime i've also been drawing. Below is the start of a series of pictures, each will be an animal face that will be half of the whole face and the other half will just be the bone structure...enjoy. more to come soon.

I have been working with a writer...a writer with the most Topsy Turvy of stories...work is still in the pipe line but here are a few examples of whats to come...
It has been a challenge to think of imagery to work with such bizarre and loving stories...i just hope i do them justice.

So ages ago i did a portrait of a moon gazing hare for my aunt as a surprise birthday gift, from my uncle... completely forgot about it until she came round with it framed!!! totally shocked.. Art looks so much better framed and in glass.. hmmmmm see you all at the frame shop!!

So anyways in case you were wondering i haven't fallen off the end of the world, ive been busy finishing uni-which i got 1st class honors!! .. small moment of joy!! ... since then i been doing a few small tattoo commissions nothing extreme (hopefully some of the people i've designed for will let me post the inking after) and helping out on a short animated film, inking canvas' for backgrounds and creating secondary character, unfortunately nothing can be posted as i'm a tiny pea in a bowl full of creative helpers. Although the writer and director Charlotte is soo lovely i heart that she let me help out so big wet kiss to her xxx... 2011 is now time for me to shine and draw lots of lovely things for all to see.. so keep your eyes open you may see a glimpse of some soon :D also i have promised myself i will one day make a website!!

..in the mean time...so i got a fantastic email through in December.. of one of my Danse macabre trees inked on someone back forever.. thats true laura love.. thankyooooou x

Once upon a time there was a beautiful man, who traveled to Monument Valley. Here is his story amongst the most beautiful poems. I was lucky enough to help out on such a project, producing one image for the poem 'O sweet death' and the design for book jacket and construction of the book. Its a fab read, i think you should all have a read. yes?!

A Gift for Two Hearts.

Two friends of mine got married the other day, congratulations lovely's. it was a beautiful wedding, and everyone had to wear some purple. was absolutely beautiful and so was the bride. i wanted to make them a wedding gift rather than give money, so i painted their portraits on slices of wood, half each to make a whole person, the words are from their wedding song just because at heart im just a big softy and i don't always draw death like some would believe.

For my self promotion i decided to explore the theme of the sea, a publisher or potential client would receive a package that contains a telescope inside would be an example of my work. and hopefully they would commission me :)

A Story About A Rabbit

A Story About A Rabbit, written by Kurt Schwitters illustrated and modeled by moi!
The story behind the title is one of a transformation. A small brown rabbit that transforms through a variety of animals ranging from a rabbit, duck, boat and flea just to name a few. My idea was to create a rabbit that embodies all transformations, to show that although the rabbit changes physically it is still the rabbit. i also illustrated the story to cement the ides for the viewer, and so they could see/read the book and distinguish each individual transformation of model. Each viewer would receive a pack, that contained a poster, story book and a postcard displaying a photo of the rabbit to take away. (photos are the best i could do, the reality is so much better)
